Karate belts

Karate belts are items that must be earned. Karate is different from other sports in that those who participate in other sports can buy the apparel they want and wear it when they please. However, those who practice karate must be able to earn the apparel they want to wear before it can be worn.

Earning karate belts is something that a person does only through showing discipline and patience. In order to obtain new karate belts, some of the things that a karate practitioner must do include:

Show dedication – A person who is interested in karate must show that he is dedicated to the sport. A person cannot simply go from a lower belt to one of the higher belts in a matter of a couple of minutes. A person must show months and years of dedication in order to be able to become an accomplished martial artist with higher level karate belts.

• Show discipline – Karate belts do not simply go to those people who show the most physical prowess. The fact is that a person who learns karate must be able to properly discipline himself. Those who do not discipline themselves do not stay true to the mantra that karate should be used for self defense and not for attack.
The highest karate belts are black karate belts. It can take years to become a black belt, but people are able to obtain other belts along the way. Orange belts, blue belts and yellow belts are all karate belts that can be obtained as a person works toward his ultimate goal of a black belt.
